Ages 4–7 — Beginner Cheer

What we teach

  • Basics of tumbling: forward rolls, cartwheels, and body control to build coordination and confidence.

  • Intro stunting: safe partner work, simple prep positions, and learning to trust teammates (all skill-appropriate and instructor-assisted).

  • Cheer dance & motions: catchy routines, sharp arm motions, basic jumps, and rhythm skills.

  • Listening & teamwork: following cues, game-like drills, and positive sportsmanship.

Class details

  • Length: 60 minutes

  • Frequency: Once per week

  • Age range: 4–7 (beginner level)

Performance opportunities

  • Performances at local community events

  • Quarterly showcase where families cheer on the kids’ newest routines

What to wear & bring

  • Comfortable athletic clothes (no zippers, loose clothing or jeans)

  • Closed-toe athletic shoes or cheer shoes (preferred)

  • Hair tied back

  • Water bottle

Safety & progression

  • Focus on safe technique, strength, and flexibility basics

  • Skills introduced gradually with spotters and mats

  • Coaches assess readiness before advancing to harder moves
